The Week in Review | November 8 – 14, 2016
This past week has been an incredible one! I shared in last week’s Cheers, that I’d added several new Christmas pieces to the Salty Pine Paper Co. shop, and y’all have blessed my socks off with your orders and words of encouragement! THANK YOU SO MUCH! ❤️ I’ll be spending the rest of my day today getting started on all the requests that have come in so far AND getting ready to announce our special ornament giveaway winner tonight over on the business FB page! Yay!
And with that, here are just a few of the highlights of the past seven days!
-Luke and I went to an NHL hockey game on Saturday night (my very first hockey game EVER), and it was SO much fun! A sweet couple from our small group told us last week that they had two extra tickets for the weekend game, and asked if we’d like to go…we jumped at the chance, and now, we’re hooked! The arena was HUGE….like 19,000 + fans huge…and they even had a giant static electricity generator since the home team is The Bolts. AND, they had a giant pipe organ at one end, Phantom of the Opera style, and I couldn’t stop staring…it was beautiful!
-Yesterday, our church hosted it’s annual family picnic, and Luke and I had so much fun getting to hang out with all our friends AND getting to see those that left earlier in the year to be a part of the church plant a few towns over! There was a hot sauce competition, a “how spice can you stand it” competition, catered BBQ, corn hole….all the things that help make a fall day great 🙂
-Friday night when Luke got home from his work trip, we chowed down on this zuppa toscana soup that had been simmering in the crock pot all evening, and we love it so much that we’ve already made it again. In fact, it’s what I’m having for lunch today! If you’re looking for a new soup to add to your rotation as cooler weather settles in, you should definitely add this to your list! SO GOOD!
-I added this new fall family session to the blog right before the weekend, and it’s full of golden evening light, thoughtful details by the mama, and three wiggly and precious girls that stole the show!
