The Week in Review | October 11 – 17, 2016
Welcome back, dear readers!!! This blog space has been a little quiet for the past two Mondays because my time was committed elsewhere and I wanted to be able to give those things my complete and full attention (working on practicing being Present over Perfect, as one of my favorite authors has written so well about), but I’m back today and excited to catch up with you!
And with that, here are just a few of the highlights of the past
seven 21 days!
-There’s no way I can start off a highlights list and NOT mention the past four days…..Friday was my birthday, and my incredible hubby surprised me Thursday night with a Birthday-Weekend Adventure Notebook, filled to the brim with surprises, decorations, funny jokes, and three whole days of amazing time spent together, which is my very favorite.
There is SO much to share about this that I think I’m going to go ahead and get started on a dedicated blog post, but until then, suffice it to say: this was my very favorite birthday yet, and I cannot say thank you enough to Luke for all the treasured memories we made together over these last few days!!!
Just a fun little phone snap of my surprise birthday manicure and free birthday drink 🙂
-Later on this evening, I’ll be sharing a brand new Small Business Branding post, filled with images from a recent out-of-state session I can’t wait to tell you all about!!! Be sure to check back so you can see more! (Today’s feature image at the top of this post is one of my favorites from that session!)
-Thanks to the book money we budgeted this month, I already ordered my copy of Chip and Joanna’s brand new magazine, The Magnolia Journal!!!! AND, because I’m a real Fixer Upper nerd, I pre-ordered their BOOK, The Magnolia Story, last month, and Amazon says it will be on our doorstep by TOMORROW! 😀 😀 😀 Please excuse me while I go light a fall candle, draw a bubble bath, and stay hermitted in our house until I’m done reading 😉
-I decorated our house for fall!!!! Earlier this month, I went out to the shed to get my autumn decorations out, only to find the box they were in was wet, moldy, and crawling with ants. EWWWWW. Thankfully, when I went out shopping for new items to help re-build the collection, I found incredible sales at Joann’s and several discounted treasures at the local thrift store (which made my budget-focused heart SOOOO happy), and now, our home is looking much more cozy and fall-ready! 😉 Here’s a sneak peek phone snap of the credenza that you see right when you walk in the front door! (Still undecided about the cake-plate light stand, but I think I like it?)
