The story behind these images is a mixture of a growing desire to serve other local small businesses in practical ways + my not-so-secret fondness for Dunedin + the suggestion from a friend (Sarah, of FOUND, actually!) to check out a recently-opened bakery/coffee shop in the area. And the rest is history! Or at least a really pretty blog post filled with images that will make you wish you lived close enough to get your hands on some of these beauties! 😉
I had SO much fun styling this just-because shoot! I loved arranging the florals (Trader Joe’s for the win!), experimenting with that sweet afternoon light, maaaaybe sneaking a blueberry from the fruit tart mid session 😉 , and especially, adding in my Grandma’s antique cake stand to a few shots and using Luke’s great-grandmother’s side table as part of the design! ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you, Dunedin Coffee and Bakery Company, for an incredible first experience in your little shop! The atmosphere, my iced coffee, your selection of all things wonderful and delicious, even the flowers on each table…it was all perfect, and I can’t wait to come back soon! 🙂
PS – Here are some ways that you can find out more about Elena’s incredible shop!
