When we announced our Giving Back fundraiser a few weeks ago out of a growing desire to support our sweet friends Adam and Kelly on their journey towards adoption (#adoptingbabyHancock), I was so excited and expectant about who might respond to the posts and join us! Shortly after, I heard from Liz, who contacted me to set up a portrait session so she could have some updated business shots for her portfolio and LinkedIn, and in the process, left a touching message for Adam and Kelly, who it turns out, she’s never even met! Isn’t that such a sweet testimony to how the Lord works, bringing together all kinds of people from all kinds of backgrounds to encourage and lift each other up?
As a little side note here, if you know anyone looking for portraits OR know a couple who is recently engaged (yay!!!), there are still a few spots left, and we would be honored and oh so thankful if you’d show them to our site to learn more about the fundraiser! It’s something very near and dear to our hearts, and we would love to serve as many people as we can through it! Even if you’re not located in FL, we love to travel and would LOVE to chat! Thank you!!!
Well, this past Friday, the day of our session, it started to POUR. I mean, cats and dogs, sidewalks flooding, can’t see the road in front of you, pour. I looked up all kinds of alternatives but also continued to just pray that it might clear up so we’d be able to get some beautiful natural light and outdoor backgrounds…and it did! Praise! Liz and I ended up meeting at Oxford Exchange (one of my favorite little spots in Tampa), and headed across the street to a church with tall pillars and pretty stairs to start our session!
Since we were so close to the University of Tampa and I’d secretly driven around campus several times already because it’s so darn pretty, I was hoping Liz wouldn’t mind doing quite a bit of our session there. I asked if she’d be willing to walk over with me, and let’s just say, shooting there did not disappoint! The grounds are gorgeous, and Liz was classy, professional, and up for anything 🙂
Liz, thank you so very much for contacting me and joining with us to help support the Hancocks! It was an absolute pleasure getting to know you and serve you through photos! I hope you love these as much as I do, because you are absolutely lovely, and I’m honored to be a very tiny part of your upcoming work adventure!
