This outdoor, candlelit reception was my very first time being at Sacred Lands, and I fell in love the moment I walked through the entrance and stepped onto the winding, tree-lined path. Sacred Lands is a beautiful outdoor space here in St. Petersburg FL, nestled in along the shores of Boca Ciega Bay, and is historically significant as the site of an ancient Tocobaga village, rich with Narvaez/Anderson Indian history.
When my dear friend Alexa, planner extraordinaire at Long Aisle Events and Alexa Kritis.com, reached out and asked if I was interested in photographing the details of one of her wedding receptions, which was being hosted at Sacred Lands, I jumped at the chance to work with her! Not only are the details of a day or event one of my most favorite things to photograph, but I had a sneaky little feeling that Alexa was working magic for her couple and making this evening an unforgettable one! From the candle-studded table scapes with hydrangea and roses spilling out in between place settings, to the canopy of twinkling lights overhead, this evening was a DREAM, and I absolutely loved getting to capture all the little touches that Alexa incorporated to create the reception of Victoria and Tomas’ dreams!
